I have to press both buttons at the same time for about ten seconds to get the emergency flush. On my 2008 Endeavor the tank flush was at the opposite end of the tank providing little cleaning of the sensor end of the tank. I installed a second flusher above the sensor area and that really helped but since we fulltime I was always concerned about build up. Using a deck hole access device (???), I have a clear cover and can see if the tank is full. And when needed, the cover unscrews and my pressure washer can easily clean the tank spotless.

At one point I moved my full tank sensor up a bit because it was reporting full when at the half way mark which was annoying.

Frank mentioned the optional jake peddle, I have that pedal and can't seem to get it to work.

All eng. brake switches work, not sure I'm operating pedal properly ( coach is new to me )

Also, on the  accumulator, there are sensors and the pressure sensor cannot be reused, there is an updated one that can be reused if it ever needs to be taken out again, I think I have a post on here about the sensor.

Last year a CEL started to pop up intermittently and my Silverleaf showed a 94-2 code (fuel pressure)  So got on Quickserve and downloaded the troubleshooting guide which had instructions on how to remove and check/clean the sensor.  When I looked up the part for a new sensor in case I needed one the PN was superseded.  The new part had a longer pig tail PLUS a support for the wiring harness.  I called around in KS where I was and no one had the sensor so I had to dive into it anyway since it got to the point that the CEL was coming on more frequently and the engine was starting to derate.

So I dove into it while parked at a KS Walmart,   accessed top of engine through closet floor hatch.  Had to remove the large intake pipe going across top of engine for access.  Other then that not to bad, had to do some reaching.  I had to disconnect 3 wiring harnesses, and remove one other sensor to get to the one I needed.  When I disconnected pressure sensor it was under a lot of tension, a struggle to get it loose.   Got the sensor out and inspected and cleaned and checked ohms.  Seemed like it was OK and put everything back.

But I did add some zip ties on the lower portion of the wiring harness to take the tension off.  Got everything back together and the engine fired up, no more CEL after +3K miles.  When I got home I did add more zip ties.  2K more miles and no CEL.

So I suspect the new sensor shown in the troubleshooting was redesigned to allow for more wire and support to take pressure off the harness.

Victron (and maybe a few others) seem to be the gold standard for battery / solar / inverter integration.  But that excellence comes at a cost . . . . monetarily!

@CAT Stephen mentioned MPP Solar with a solution for their 48V 3000W inverter.  They also make a 2500W inverter that outputs 24V, perfect for 2 LiFePO batteries in series . . . . but does a user still need a DC-DC transformer for 12V coach systems or is 12V duty light enough to just draw off one battery?

Then there's the solar side . . . 600W @ 24V = 25A.  Without a separate solar controller those would be some pretty hefty cables coming off the roof!

Not questions to be answered here but would make good round table discussion at the Gathering, including other "non-Victron" solutions.  Docan vs Battleborn is a good example . . .

Just thinking out loud . . .

Thanks for all the info. That sounds reasonable being 3 quarts over after a drive. I will let the coach settle down longer the next time I check it.

Being it has been in the ok for the last 6 months, don't see it being over 3 quarts.

I just misread the code description Lo and Hi-3 not H13. Need to read description several times from here on out.

Getting old sucks sometimes.

If oil level has consistently been OK and now it's 3 quarts high, something isn't right.  If the oil was too hot, you would have seen an error message.  I would double check the transmission oil to engine coolant heat exchanger just to be sure you don't have an internal leak.  Are you losing any engine coolant?

Do you mean tap 12v from one of the 24v series batteries? Absolutely not. Must not do that with lithium batteries.

No round-table discussion needed... That would throw the two batteries out of balance very badly.

But... I think higher voltages would be a great subject for the discussions. In my opinion it's just dumb to build high current systems around 12v. It would be great to have consensus on the best approaches to implement 24v or 48v inverter systems.

What I found also was they updated the washer that goes in first. The old washer was evidently designed as a one time use, thus the leak I had when it was reinstalled.

Well the lights went back to green over night without doing anything. Strange but happy. I did do the by pass flush to use it. 1 went green about 8 hours before the other one did. Must be toilet gremlins in there. LOL Thanks to everyone especially Frank.

I found this and it might be helpfull to others:

Lowered to $50K

I’ve bought many things for it like the Garmin Big screen RV 1090 10 inch screen Navigator, Keurig Coffee machine never used, fence you snap together for a dog or whatever, outdoor grill with stand, Starlink and other things. It has everything to move in and start you adventures traveling right away!

Another Windsor owner @tmw188 contacted me and said he was having to add coolant and couldn't find the leak.  Commented that he had some oil on his tow vehicle.  Told him not to drive anymore and to check the transmission oil level.  It was High and actually coming out of the vent.  He had a radiator internal oil cooler for the transmission fail and coolant was going into the transmission.  Had to replace the radiator and transmission, ~$20K.  He did take the time to tear the radiator down to look at the inner cooler, it basically fell apart when he touched it.

About 2 months later another Monaco owner reached out to me, he was stranded out west with the same problem.

There was a TSB on this, a lot of new members may not be aware of this issue

Good idea on the transmission cooler. Checked transmission fluid, normal pinkish red color. Checked coolant still full, same level as last months check.

Checked for codes, no codes D1-5.

Leaving again tomorrow, will check fluids again after stop.

Never been accused of NOT accepting a challenge.....as long as it is NOT INFLICTION OF BODILY PAIN.

Just get creative.  I have used FOR SALE ads before to get pictures of things that were not posted.....just to understand.  Sometimes the search is easier...as, this one, relatively speaking, was...  PLUS, ya gotta think outside the box sometimes...

Funny you should mention that you have a broken piece of thinwall tubing...

At 81,000 miles I noticed a piece of tubing hanging down and searched the entire framework of thinwall tubing and z metal. I found a dozen cracks in the thinwall tubing and/or z-metal and started fabricating braces and welding...  I had to cut out plastic behind the 12v water pump to gain access to patch a vertical brace, I had to pull fender inner liners to access others.  The boxed area above the rear axle was the worst to access, first I used 1/4" x 3" x 10" plates to reinforce the many cracked pieces. That "fix" only lasted 2 years then I ended up using 14' of 3" x 1/4" plate to box in the entire area above the rear axle.  That did the trick, and has not further cracked in 60,000 miles I have put on since then.  In 2015 one of my radiator shroud support rods broke loose (another bad factory weld).  The loss of the support rod caused severe radiator vibration and that cost me 2 radiators before I figured out the problem.  Just this last year I noticed the fiberglass corners below the radiator access doors was cracking, so I did more bracing/welding/bolting to support that area.  That required removing the radiator. Every year now, I put the RV up on jacks and pressure wash everything and inspect everything. I attached a few files, there are many more I could attach, but you get the idea.

Looks all too familiar, Bob, but good job on the pictures and the annotations.

On Monday I am taking the coach to a local RV shop with whom I have dealt a few times, and they are confident they can fabricate new supports for the compartments and reinforce the existing ones. I think it will work out.

Thanks Bruce, but I think our local RV shop is going to be able to handle it... and they are literally a couple of blocks away.

PRAYERS and THOUGHTS for those in Helene's path or will be impacted.
Tom Cherry

I know we have a LOT of members that are or will be in the path of Helene.  I have many family members, friends and former work associates that are "Hunkering DOWN" and hoping for the best.

As BEST I can pull up and am NOT a Weather WHIZ or such....  The path is NOW 80% over Tallahasse...

What concerns me is the possible catastrophic 20 foot storm surge along the coast in conjuction with the Cat 4 or 5 winds.

There will be lives lost if that happens.

My roof ladder on my 2002 Monaco Windsor is barely held together.  The internal compression fittings that fit inside the ladder tubing are worn out and need to be replaced.  Where can I find replacement parts?

Thanks,

Rich

Hopefully nobody was stupid enough to stay in that area!

It's not like they didn't have a few days warning!

We've been watching the weather channel, this is a fast moving hurricane, not sure where all the people could have or would have gone.   And the storm is expected to be a Cat 2 all they way up into GA.

I'm in TN and it is expected to be a Cat 1 with heavy rain, news reported the TVA is expecting the Douglas Reservior to reach record levels and they had it drawn down ~20' below normal since we had been in extreme drought.  The whole E TN area is under flood watch.

So where do you go???

My SIL, her husband, granddaughter and son are hunkered down in Tallahassee.  In that area the large live Oak trees are the biggest threat, their house is surrounded by them.   My wife is maintaining a communication with them.  They also have a house on Shell Point, it is older so not elevated very high, I'll be surprised if it survives.

So yes, prayers for the families in the path of the hurricane.

We were still in South Georgia yesterday and moved from the path through Atlanta and I-20 to Alabama where not even rain is currently predicted here. I really braced for huge traffic but it was smooth sailing even through Atlanta. I would have expected a lot of people on the run from it towards west. Maybe I-10 was busier but I gave up on the coast section of the trip for now. Hope all that had to stay for whatever reason are safe.
