  1. 5 oz of beads is the recommendation for a 315/80/22.5 that weighs over 115 lbs. That’s a 0.0027 ratio which says a big tire is well made. Sure, if I have a vibration I’ll do something to fix it.
  2. Local tire shop can’t balance but only charges $25 to change a 22.5. Pretty sure he’s replaced 12 tires… no balance beads and 4 were on the front. Your mileage may vary.
  3. I find it hard to believe you need a pump. I would check the drain tube being plugged at the unit. I would then get a new tech.
  4. You could be 2 gallons low and the pressure might be 2 psi lower than normal because the oil temp is slightly higher. Slightl over full will not hurt anything.
  5. I would research the problems with the 2 toilet systems before buying into a bath and half… not one of the nicer things to work on.
  6. Usually NW Supply is recommended but I’m a EBay type. It’s probably a Carling rocker switch and I would try matching it up to one of the many pictured on EBay.
  7. Congrats on increasing the cooling and the condensation. I would say the drain line is plugged…it comes out in front of the left front tire and is probably white in color. I would try running a wire up it to open the plug.
  8. 06 Navigator with a replacement 2812 by previous owner. With the generator running the inverter/charger will stop charging and start inverting BUT both legs of the generator power does not drop out. Will do this about every 30 seconds. In trouble shooting another problem for our daughter on their first dry camping day (son-in-law is handy) he was concerned that with everything but the residential refrigerator turned off the inverter was drawing 30 amps out of the batteries. Discovered that a 55 amp charger had been added in parallel with the 2812 BUT it was plugged into the outlet in the basement which is powered by the inverter… perpetual power has been discovered. Unplugging it and the inverter dropped to 2 amps…problem solved. Suggested moving the charger to the engine area and using the block heater outlet to power it. Back to the inverter, inverting with the generator running. By manually turning the inverter off it went into bulk charging at 150 amps tapering down after 30 minutes like it should. This confirms that the 2812 is getting uninterrupted 117V power BUT, if you turn the inverter back on (press the button on the remote control) it goes back to charging and inverting. Any suggtions?
  9. Whirlpool makes a 2 door, with a side freezer, that is only 65 1/2” tall but that is 1/2” taller than the 1200 hole… still requires a little woodwork. The one I installed is 21 cuft but not a counter depth… had to take the driver’s window out.
  10. Assuming a 06 engine you probably have a crankcase vent tube filter that need replacing.
  11. Welcome to the burnt plug on the smart wheel controller in the front run box. I bypassed the 2 burnt wires with a 2 conductor plug (like the 4 type used for trailer lights). Soldered it into the board that was burnt up.
  12. Although we stayed at a FHU CG at 89 and 12 for Bryce (to be with our daughter and grands) I did check out where we would have stayed if by ourselves having stayed there before… Red Canyon USFS CG. There were several sites available we could have gotten our 45’ in as it is a first come CG… our favorite type. Big dump station with water and even in the summer, cool enough that you do not need AC… run the generator. In October you’ll probably need some heat. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/dixie/recarea/?recid=24944y One of my backups if I don’t get a site without reservations are small airports. Only once have I had to pay when I ask “how much to tie down” did I have to pay… plenty of room at the Bryce airport. Also plenty of dispersed camping in the immediate area. Come on over to the dark side, it’s easier than you think.
  13. 04 Dynasty had a cheap plastic check valve that the rubber seat would dislodge…easy enough to take apart and re-seat, once you got to it. Finally replaced it with a metal check valve. 08 Navigator almost seals but difficult to get to so I just use a Y on the supply hose as pictured above by Ray. The Y comes in handy when you need another hose hooked up.
  14. Day tripped to Zion which was a zoo trying to find a parking spot to catch the shuttle. Once in the valley the crowds were not to bad but worse than anywhere we’ve been this summer. Arrived at Jacob Lake Saturday at 10 AM getting into the USFS CG without any problem… plenty of vacant sites in the no reservations half of the CG. Was able to get a 2nd site close by for our daughter’s 45’ Navigator…first time dry camping for them. They are learning you don’t have to go from 50A to 50A expensive CGs.
  15. A fuel problem with a low hour fuel filter is often the electric fuel pump… not that expensive on EBay and even Amazon. Still confused what the #2 breaker powers??? Have you tried no ACs and then turning #2 on?
  16. I’m confused…”I rectified my mistake and put a 50amp breaker in” is the outlet a 4 prong outlet?
  17. 3-3 is overheating and 3-6 is a fuel problem. “I had the inverter running the whole time I was driving so batteries were 100% when I parked.“ Unless the generator was running, the inverter/ charger is not charging your batteries…the alternator is. ”2 inverter breaker” has me confused as most rigs only have a signal 30A breaker powering the inverter…doubt you have 2 inverters??? The one breaker you found on the inverter is for power into the inverter… there are 2 more, hard to see for the 2 circuits the inverter powers. One is for the micro and other for everything else the inverter powers. It appears to be passing power through so that’s not your problem. Replacing the breaker isn’t going to change anything… need to figure out what it controla and doubt it’s the inverter…how many amps is it? Sounds like the extra load it puts on the generator is more than the amount of fuel can handle. Without the ACs running does it still shut the generator off?
  18. JD. our daughter, slightly older, was about to buy a new diesel truck ($80+K) and a new 5er ($100K) to replace their 20 year old truck and 5er…not willing to trust them for a trip out West. This summer is probably the last time their college age kids will be home so it was now or probably never. Granted they had the advantage of knowing how much we have liked our big Monaco’s and how trouble free they have been…dad can you help us buy a big rig. Had to be another big Monaco as the learning curve is steep and you need to be handy to own one…son-in-law is but when something doesn’t work, guess who he calls for the fix. Once you’ve owned a big DP, it’s hard to go back to anything else, but it needs to be used. Partly to justify the cost and sitting isn’t good on them. Good luck on your choices.
  19. After 16 years I had to take the the OEM arm off and beat the center pivot to tighten it up. Previously, every 5-6 years I had to bend the arm that sticks out to increase the friction. May only last another 7-8 years before needing to replace the the pivot if pounding on it doesn’t work.
  20. JD ^^^ said what I was implying… the all steel S-10 has to be more ridged and safer, even in a head on accident. May also be why the S-10 doesn’t need any handling improvements. We actually owned 2 Beavers, briefly before buying a 04 42’ Dynasty to get 4 slides, for half timing. Made the mistake of buying into 36’ was the max public CGs… didn’t take long to figure out that’s BS. During the summer we stay mainly in Public CGs that do not take reservations. Currently in a Private CG parked next to our daughter that has not figured out the dry camping thing although there are 4 of them that take longer showers than what a 100 gallon tank will support for 5-7 days that we normally go before resupplying. We have stayed a couple miles up the road in a Forest Service CG that surprisingly, has several sites we could get into even on this Friday afternoon…rarely do we try finding a site on Friday. Couple summers ago we went into S Lake Tahoe on Labor Day, without reservations, getting into our first choice of CGs. NO, not on Friday but on Monday when the working folks have to go home. My point for FT (or half T) a big rig does dry camping well, without paying $50+ for a spot to park.
  21. On a 02, load shedding is accomplished by manually turning things off.
  22. We almost bought a 04 Patriot…bought a 04 Dynasty instead which we sold to our son after 14 great years so it’s still in the family for many more years. Brochure says “Roadmaster M10S–Series Chassis” and the only difference from a S-10 I can see is the house structure is aluminum bolted to the chassis… not as strong in a rollover. A S-10 rig will show the all steel framing in the brochures. I would rate the aluminum house a negative but not a deal breaker. While on negatives but not deal breakers , the Emergency Window over the head of the bed is colder and noisy than one without a window. In the Dynasty I added a hinged metal grate over the window so we could recline against it to read and watch TV. I like that the bedroom is more open…. extra cabinet next to the bed and double sliding doors into the bath area making the bedroom more open feeling. I rarely used the bedroom during the day with our Dynasty and currently I’m typing this in the bed (it’s 7:30 here) as the Nav BR is very open with a larger cabinet and the 2nd sink in the BR area. In the current inflated market it’s hard to say what it’s worth. Helped our daughter buy a 06 45’ Navigator, couple months ago with a DD60 engine, 45K miles for $110K. Been a good rig with no major $$$ problems…put two 315 tires on the front. Had fairly new batteries, new carpet, a new 600D AquaHot and it was only 100 miles away. Fortunately put a deposit on it on the 2nd day it was listed as if they didn’t buy it I would and flip it. I like the big windows Monaco used in these years… makes dry camping easier as you get good airflow. Not sure the tall windows in the LR open 50% and if the awning is big enough to shade the bottoms? Good luck and a 05 doesn’t have the multiplex system…a goog thing.
  23. I’ve put 120+K miles on the S-10 chassis and describe it as rock solid handling. Multiple 750+ mile days are a pleasure… had to adjust the TRW in the Navigator after the first 200 miles as it had 2” of slop. I question how a tag axle 44” behind the drive can solve all the “handling problems” of the none tag rigs, but it does. The Cat engine is not noted of great mpg but a 05 is before even more restrictive pollution stuff. Beavers are noted for their woodwork…some day that’s why Monaco bought them. We are only half timers but have some definite ideas on what works for longer usage. Fortunately the bath and half fad had not started in 2005. What floor plan is it?
  24. The REV RV Group Service Center ^^^^ gets good reviews for being able to work on the Konsberg chassis Multiplex system which could be the source of your problems.
  25. Does your 09 have the chassis multiplex system?
