  1. This formula was very popular when we full timed for 10 years. 3x3 or 4x4 or 5x5. Leave at 9 and in by 3= 300Miles, leave by 8 and in by 4= 400 miles, leave by 7 and in by 5= 500 miles. Includes stops for what ever. I cruised at 61-62 MPH. Best sweet spot for Maximum MPG. ISX 525, 07 Executive.
  2. At 254" wheelbase, minor adjustment of the pressure on the tag will cause signifcant weight transfer from the tag to the drive. Look at the sales brochure for your coach here; https://www.monacocoach.com/luxury-rv-brochures?y=2001 You may want tp print that sales brochure. lots of great info there.
  3. We stayed at; https://www.cherryhillpark.com/ Very accomidating folks. Will shuttle you to the train ststion, and advise you on what fare to purchase, etc.
  4. I saw a 06 Signature For Sale on another side the other day. I know the owner, in Canada, and it is in excellent condition. $125K Canadian. A steal.
  5. Those pressure switches are available at most 4X4 off road Parts shops. Very popular for that application and alway less than most RV suppliers. Those pressure switches are available at most 4X4 off road Parts shops. Very popular for that application and alway less than most RV suppliers.
  6. IVYLOG said it. This is his statement; "Sorry but the opposite is true. If you increase the weight on the tag 1000 lbs, the drive decreases 1200 lbs and the steer increase 200 lbs on a 45’ rig. There is no fulcrum in the middle, it’s a arm and it’s on a 280” to 44” ratio …6/1 approx."
  7. And, you can not increase the weight on the tag AND steer buy increasing the weight on the tag. I would like to see those weight transfers on a scale weight print out.
  8. Sorry, i did not state there is a fulcrum in the middle. And, you can not increase the weight on the tag AND steer buy increasing the weight on the tag. I would like to see those weight transfers on a scale weight print out.
  9. You will get an accurate weight where ever your axle is on the platforms[tables]. Just stradle the drive and tag axles between the 2nd and 3rd platforms. When adjusting the Down pressure on the tag, the Drive axle becomes a fulcrum point and you move weight to/from the front axle, to, to/from the tag axle, by raising/lowering the Down pressure. The weight on the Drive axle is minimally effected. Just like a teeter totter. Remember?
  10. Weigh the coach. Four , or Six corner weight is the best, but single axle weights will be OK too. Fuel and water full. Black and grey tanks empty with your stuff on board. CAT scales at many truck stops. Tell the clerk you want to weigh a coach. There is an intercom at the scale so you can communicate with the clerk. There will be -3- platforms for -3- axles. Steer axle on the first, Drive on the second, and if applicable, Tag on the third. Get the print out from the clerk. IF you have a tag axle, you may have to adjust your DOWN pressure to move weight as needed, and after adjusting your down pressure on the tag, REWEIGH the coach. Now go to YOUR tire Mfg. inflation charts for the correct COLD inflation. Tire Inflation Tables rvsafety.com RVSAFETY.COM RVSEF Home
  11. The inflation charts i used for the Michelins i had, did specify the capacity, at a certain inflation, for a 9" rim and 8.25" rim with 315's.
  12. This could be a tire source that may have what you need. Great Company. https://www.pompstire.com/ The History of Pomp's Tire Pomp’s Tire Service began in 1939 when Andrew “Sparky” Pomprowitz opened a warehouse, passenger, and commercial wholesale operation on Roosevelt Street in Green Bay, WI. Under the name of Pomprowitz Tire Company, he continued to expand at that location until a fire in 1942 burned the entire facility and all the stock. Pomprowitz rebuilt and combined the operation with Pomprowitz Appliance Company. When Sparky went off to serve his country in 1942, his brothers, Joe and John, operated the business until his return in 1944. Pomp's Tire moved into recapping in 1952 and the business was incorporated as Pomp’s Recap Service, Inc. The business moved to the present Green Bay East location on Cedar Street. Sparky passed away in 1964 and Roger Wochinske purchased the business as of January 1, 1965. The first new outlet store was added that year in Shawano, WI. Since that initial expansion in 1965, Pomp's Tire has grown to include over 120 locations in 11 states, 18 retread plants, one wheel manufacturing facility, and three original equipment manufacturing facilities. Pomp's Tire now consists of nearly 2100 employees throughout its footprint. Still family owned, Pomp's Tire can now handle all tire needs from boat trailer to earthmover, retail, wholesale, commercial, 24-hour over-the-road truck tire service, recapping, agricultural, training, wheels and rims, and much more. If you are in the market for great products and service at a reasonable price, come see what Pomp's Tire has to offer. 13. You did not state if you wanted New, or Used, so i thought you may have success at one of these sources. I called Accuride when i upgraded my tire size to 315's and they were very helpful and provided the information i requested. 15. Just an F Y I on TAG axles VS PUSHER AXLES; What is the difference between a tag axle and a pusher axle? “Whereas a tag axle is located behind the drive axles to take some of the weight off the rear drive axles when the vehicle is fully loaded, a pusher axle is positioned in front of the drive axles, adding stability to the chassis during cornering,” That's why you see Pusher axles on QUAD axle dump trucks.
  16. I ran 315's on all 8 positions on a 07 Executuve for 78K .
  17. WE had an all Girard awning coach, including slide out toppers. I would not do that. The wind and sudden rain in the desert is so unpredictable. I saw many awnings destroyed by that type of sudden turbulence in our 10 years full timing. We never left our awning out when we were not at the coach, and at night as well.
  18. Ray, I don't know. Have not seen him post here for some time. I would love to volunteer with a group on this site to "upate" membership, if possible. Using members email addresses could be a "start".
  19. Lots of folks doing that repair have purchased Hot Tub plumbing components from H D and Lowes.
  20. Thanks for the post. Gordy was a great guy and a regular contributor on this site.
  21. Local shops that do field maintenance for construction equipment that require hydraulic cylinder service can do that repair/rebuild.
