  1. Jitter Fixed! Rube Goldberg method. The output of the Aladdin system status screens is old style CRT pixelated characters. I suspected it was old style TV composite video. The new head unit is made for 1080p color video, so I suspected it was having trouble with the old signal. So here is what I did. I took an RCA composite video to HDMI converter and connected it to an HDMI to RCA converter. Basically what I did was convert the signal to from composite video to HDMI and then back to composite video and it works. The resolution is not as sharp, but very workable. And the cameras still work just fine. GINGIN AV to HDMI Converter Dingsun HDMI to RCA Converter
  2. Chad, You may get some useful input from Pioneer support. Unfortunately my unit came from china and has no US phone support.
  3. I replaced the video cable from the Aladdin unit to the new head unit with a new shielded cable but no help. I suspect the problem may be the head unit is rated for 1080p resolution and the status screen is 480. When it stretched the image it loses sync.
  4. I just replaced the aging Kenwood stereo in my 06 Monaco Signature. The PLZ MP-108 works and sounds great. The cameras from the Aladdin system look good, but when I switch to the Aladdin status displays the screens jitter very badly. I tried replacing the RCA video cable from the Aladdin and even swapping ports with the bedroom monitor, which is fine. No change. Has anyone experienced this issue when swapping out the old Kenwood stereo? 20240906_165625.mp4
  5. Some great info here. The PowerMax PMTS-50 works, so I am not in dire distress right now. However I am trying to get everything back to original working condition where possible. My main concern is if the Surge Guard 40350-rvc and 40450-rvc units are plug and play compatible with the Aladdin system I have. I really don't want to have to install separate monitor displays. Running cables through these coaches is a real bear.
  6. Continuing tracking stuff that doesn't work on my (new to me) 06 Signature. Noticed that the Aladdin does not show AC power connected. So I went to the transfer box in the drivers side bay just ahead of the wet bay. I found this PowerMax PMTS-50. I don't see any sensor leads that might go to the Aladdin system. So I am lost here. Did they replace the original transfer switch and remove the one with the sensors in it? I think the original transfer switch was ether an ESCO or a TRC 40250. Found a partial wiring diagram that show the current sensor 38040089 connected to the 38040035 AC interface module. This suggests that the transfer switch model may not matter if I have the interface module and the correct sensors to connect to the power leads in the transfer switch. Of course, I have no idea where the module is and how it was originally connected to the transfer switch. AC Interface Module.pdf
  7. I have been considering what to do with the sound system in my 06 Signature as well. There are 4 speakers for the Kenwood radio that has sirius available. The TV was upgraded to a TCL 50" Roku. There is a Bose AV38 that has a bunch of mini speaker and a subwoofer under the dinette. I would love to have the radio and tv run through those nicer speakers but not sure of the interfacing. We like to listen to podcasts and audiobooks via SD card and bluetooth from our phones. We did this in our old coach with an upgraded radio. I am looking at replacing the current radio with this: PLZ Single Din Car Stereo Wireless Apple Carplay Android Auto Radio, 10.1" Car Play Touch Screen I think I can run the Aladdin system through it and add wireless android auto and apple play as well. Is there a way to use the Bose speaker system without the AV38 system?
  8. Thanks Dr4Film, I will try Rome Truck Part first next time. John Tom Cherry, Could you post a link to A&M Equipment. I tried looking them up and I don't think I am finding the right place. Thanks, John
  9. Hmmm, I guess I am just not getting it. I could drill a hole though the motor shaft, but I don't see how I could put a hole in the flat crank arm that would line up with the hole in the motor shaft. However I lucked out ant it turns out REV had the part, #4 on the diagram PN 10122422 in stock. I will use a dremel wire wheel to clean out the splines on the motor shaft. Hopefully that will work. Otherwise the motor is available for $230.
  10. I guess I am unsure how putting a roll pin in it works. A picture would help. Thanks.
  11. On my way back from picking up the 2006 Monaco Signature, the wipers quit. When I got home I found the nut holding the arms on the motor was missing. I bought a new nut and reattached them and they tested ok. Failed again. I have the nut tightened down solid. The motor turns, but the shaft rotates in the arm. The motor shaft has some ridges that look worn. I think the nut was loose for a while and rounded out the arm plate. Is the short connecting arm replaceable? Do I have to buy a new motor?
  12. Thanks Denny, Since my old coach didn't have one, I am going to guess the front run bay is that first bay on the drivers side that is full of electronics.
  13. My, new to me, 2006 Monaco Signature has power locks on the bay doors, a keyless entry pad near the door and a key fob. Non of which seem to work. There does not seem to be a switch anywhere in the coach that can manually lock and unlock the bays. I went out to reprogram the keyless entry pad using the info from the coach manual. Mine is the horizontal one, not the one in the bottom of the grab bar. Guess what. It doesn't do anything. No beeps, no lock, factory reset does nothing. Key fob lights up but also has no effect. Is there a fuse I should check? And where is the control box for this? Thanks, John
  14. I have a 2006 Monaco Signature Castle IV that I bought about a week ago. I have been working my way through learning the sytems and fixing stuff. Ran some water in the kitchen sink and ended up with water running across the floor at the corner of the plumbing sliding panel. Nothing appears to be wet except for at the very bottom against that grey back panel. Running my hand over all the pipes comes back dry. Everything looks good from the sinks across the wall.
