  1. This is so relevant and great advise. We just survived the same thing. Thank you @Tom Cherry . Start simple and understand the system. We were running a heavy summer load in our 16 year old Diplomat. Boom, power out but not all. No indicator of shore power in the panel but several outlets were working including frig microwave and entertainment system. I could not make sense of this, No 12v. Could not switch to inverter. I thought damaged ATS, I checked the power pedestal, lit some candles and sat down. I did have power at the desk so I lit up the PC and went to my goto Monacoers forum to find this thread. Yes, battery disconnect by front door. Should have a switch cover. I am still kicking myself. Symptoms did not make sense but the disconnect is a great first stop. I am servicing same as soon as this trip is over. No limping home this time. Thanks again everyone. R
  2. I just want to say OMG or maybe WTH, I suppose I would have found the switch sooner or later. Based on the wiring diagram suggestion and SteveP's idea to look in the cupboard it's a case closed. Thank you all again.
  3. 08 Dip Hi all. I finally replaced my dash radio with a sound storms lab unit. Love it but all I get is the bedroom speakers. Fade and balnce donWiring on 4 channel stereos is pretty simple. I rechecked all the color cods and connections It mightt be some control in the coach to direct sound. I tried running a tone trace to one of the dead speakers but nothing. I assume the radio is OK. I never did use the old radio so it could be a connector in the dash or a sound control switch. I rechecked all t helphe. the color codes and soldered connections. Strumpet. R
  4. Got some answers. Yes, I found a place about 20 miles away. $1500 no warranty. We know our coaches can twist and rack, that's the culprit. Glass place said they sparsely glue at the factory so there will be flex for the glass. They have an RV in the shop right now with a broken windshield caused by jacking up one steer tire to fix a flat. Now that's something to keep in mind. I used 4" roof tape for my last trip. That worked good but not a solution. I saw a video of a guy adding steel reinforcement to the front end to combat this. I don't think I'm that creative. R.
  5. Thank you Fun. Called Go Home Port Repairs, spoke with Marcus. He might do some repairs but he also does referrals. He sent me to RV Gurus who then sent me to Glass Stop in Belton MO. They are going to speak to the owner and call back in the morning. At first they said I would have to call my insurance company. Huh? I can drive anywhere. Probably call around St Louis area. Not worried. We just finished 3000 mile trip with roof tape on the windshield. Not traveling again until October. I will post back when I find a solution. I like Tom C suggestions. R
  6. RV Glass Solutions was not able to help. They install new glass.
  7. I will give them a shout. Been googling and calling all over. Nationwide sent me to a place across town. They told me they don't touch RVs. There are more than a few sites online that are lead generators. Even to quote forms look the same.
  8. Still looking for a repair shop to reset my glass near Kansas City. When I mention RV they put down the phone and run. We are willing to travel to get this done. 08Dip one piece R
  9. This is badass engineering. Just what I needed to guide us through the project. All the pics really helped too. R
  10. 08dip vin inside rear left engine door. The doors on the rear end. R
  11. Thank you. Not wanting to buy another set this is what I did. The adjuster for up down was unhooked inside the housing. I glued the lamp in the highest position and the unit reinstalled. It was just a little low so I put a spacer in the lower anchor point. All good. BTW the drivers side was perfect after install without adjustment. Who knew. R
  12. Unfortunately I broke a repairman's rule. Old headlights are gone. R
  13. OK, wow. So if yours are different I wonder what the OEM is for my 2008. I use Silverstar bulbs in my home fleet. Thanks for the good advice. I have been buying the cheap headlamps for years for cars and never had a problem. R
  14. Yes tried that, added a nut maybe quarter inch. Tried to adjust up from there. Still down 20" Then the adjuster came loos inside the housing. R
  15. I got Amazon headlights. Did not fit. Actually once you break off unnecessary tabs they bolt right up. Problem is they point so low the adjuster cannot make up the difference. The LR adjuster was broken. Monaco Diplomat 2008-2011 Front Pair (Left & Right) Replacement Headlights with Bulbs RV Motorhome Does anyone have a link to headlights that worked? ALL i found was people with lot of fuse and headlight wiring problems Thanks R
