  1. Yes I did search but found nothing about using the rear cap or nothing about a Monarch 30'. Also nothing about where and how to connect an inverter. If you have some suggestions I'd be happy to see them.
  2. I looked up into the rear cap, there is a divider but it appears to be hollow. Good thing about it is any leaks will not get into inside of coach.
  3. 2006 Monaco Monarch SE with single slide, V10. I ordered a 400 watt Renogy solar panel system (4 panels). Looking for the best way to run the 10 gauge wires down to the battery bay which is behind the passenger side rear wheels. The fridge is 2 compartments in front of the rear wheels so if I go down the fridge vent I'll have to go along the frame to get behind the wheels. Another option is through the rear cap. The rear inside wall ends about 8" before the rear cap so there should be plenty room to pass wires. Is there anything that would be in the rear cap? There is no inverter so that'll be my next question on how and where to hook that into the 120 vac system. I'll install the inverter next to the solar controller to keep that cable run short. I'll be keeping the 2 6 vdc golf cart batteries and possibly adding 2 more. I've done LiFePO4 systems on other coaches but won't for this one. This is for an Alaska trip next summer. We went in 2019 in a 36' Foretravel where I had 300 amphours of LiFePO4 + 400 watts solar and it worked great. I'm planning on a 2000 watt Renogy inverter with 4000 watt peak and using it for short microwave use, coffee pot, hair dryer, and tv. Thoughts on where to wire the inverter into the 120 vac system? At the transfer switch? At the breaker panel which is above the bed?
  4. We're planning to travel to Alaska in our 2006 Monarch SE gas coach. Has anyone used cardlock stations through upper BC and Yukon? When we did our trip in 2019 we used cardlock stations but were buying diesel. I figure I'll need to buy gas every 2 or 3 days.
  5. Does anyone know offhand what spark plug for the Onan 4kw microquiet generator? Going through all the systems and want to service the generator.
  6. After looking more closely this morning every other one was round. So I used an 1-1/4" socket/ratchet to remove the hex ones and the simulator came off. They were pretty snug so I just used the tool to install them back. Only thing was I forgot to see what size the lug nuts were. Guess I'll do it again. Thanks!
  7. On my Wheel Masters every other nut cover is slightly different. But I don't know if they pop off or need to be unscrewed. And I don't know which ones are which.
  8. My new to me 2006 Monarch SE 30' has Wheel Masters stainless steel simulators. How do I remove these? Thanks!
  9. Martinvz how do you use the manual leveling? On my '06 I can only get manual to work after auto does its thing. Problem is is too high then. I'd like to use manual only if I can figure that out. I'll try tomorrow to just press and release the retract button. On my Newell and Foretravel with air suspension I only used manual. BTW is it best to extend the slide before leveling or after? Thanks!
  10. Here's my first post and question. My 2006 Monarch SE 30' has Power Gear leveling jacks. The Monaco manual has the procedure for auto leveling then once level how to manually level but it will only raise, not lower. But is there a way to override auto leveling and operate each jack manually? Especially to raise one jack? Or to lower one jack? While leveling at my cabin what needs to happen is only the front jacks raise the front a few inches and the rears to just stabilize. What is happening is the system is raising one side too much then raises the other side to compensate until it runs out of travel. I'm used to HWH airbag suspension leveling where I can adjust each side individually. Thanks for any tips.
  11. Guess I'll introduce myself here. Yesterday I bought a 2006 Monaco Monarch SE 30' single slide. Drove it a couple hours for our first night at a campground. So far most everything is working. A few bugs but nothing major. I've had a few motorhomes over the years, 1993 39' Newell, 1998 45' Newell, 2005 26' Lazydaze, 1999 36' Foretravel, 2011 Roadtrek 210. We took the Foretravel to Alaska in 2019 and plan to take this Monaco to Alaska next year. I'm impressed with the smooth ride on the Monaco compared to my previous diesel pushers with air suspension. Glad I found this forum as I'm sure I'll have questions. A couple upgrades will be solar panels, possibly LiFePO4 batteries, change inside lights to led, blackout curtains for the bedroom. New front tires since these are 2019 and I have no history on them, back tires are 2022.
