Howdy1959
Considering a 2021 Chevy 2500 diesel as a toad behind my 2003 Diplomat w/330 Cummins engine. Pulls my Jeep Wrangler just fine but it is about 2,000lbs lighter. Your thoughts? Edited August 12 by Howdy1959 Typo
diplomat don
Howard, you would be OK with that. I towed 3 different vehicles behind my 330 Diplomat with a 2000# difference in the 3 and didn't feel there was a drastic difference. There was about a 1000# between each one so go for it. Good luck, Don.
Howdy1959
Was the vehicle weight 6600 lbs or more?
diplomat don
I never scaled the trailer with the car loaded up but it was 4000# and a 18 ft trailer is about 2000# so I imagine 6000#. I hauled that car over the 4000 Ft passes in BC and Washington with a 330ISC in our 38' Diplomat as well as 2 class C's. You may be a little slower but a mile an hour doesn't mean much. When I started driving truck in the mid 70's we had 350 hp cummins and was grossing 84000# over BC mtns. You are less than half that. Do what you feel is right for you. Good luck Don
