Velvac mirror removal

I am removing my mirrors to send to Space Coast plating and on the base there are 4 covers to pop off to get to the bolts and then there are two caps that have a slot like a flat head screwdriver.  I don’t have a problem with the 4 caps but those two slotted caps are very stuck. Does anyone know if they just pop off or do they screw out? 

I have the removal file from velvac but it doesn’t give that type of detail.

They screw out, at least mine do.

They screw out but they are just plastic. The Allen screws under those caps are there to lock the arm in place. The cap on the bottom of the base hides a nut on a threaded rod that keeps the arm attached to the base

So with my mirror mishap I had to remove the small round ones that unscrew.  One was stuck and I had to use a utility knife to get it out, basically destroying it.
